Cristina Grajales Gallery announces
Encounters I, Curated by Stephanie Ingrassia
April 25th-June 28th, 2019
Cristina Grajales Gallery is pleased to announce Encounters, an annual guest-curated exhibition series dedicated to the meeting of minds, spirit, and soul. For the inaugural installment, renowned collector and philanthropist Stephanie Ingrassia will work with pieces from the gallery collection and beyond to create an environment that celebrates the fuzzy intersection between art and design. “We have worked with Stephanie Ingrassia for years,” says Cristina Grajales, “and have always admired her vision and style. We are thrilled to be working with her for our inaugural exhibition of this exciting series.”
Stephanie Ingrassia studied art and design, and today hones her skills in both private and institutional ways. As a 20-year trustee at the Brooklyn Museum, Ingrassia has become instrumental in the contemporary efforts of the museum as well as expanding on her and her husband Tim’s personal collection. “Meeting artists and learning about their practice is so incredibly rewarding,” says Ingrassia, “I am so fortunate to be able to make these connections. Encounters honors these relationships and will invite the audience to experience living with art in both practical and aesthetic ways.”
Please join us for the opening reception at Cristina Grajales Gallery on Thursday, April 25th, 2019 from 6PM-8PM.
