Art dealer Perry Rubenstein’s Chelsea apartment, presented Cristina Grajales with the challenge to create a gallery setting inside the home with the furniture acting as a backdrop for an extensive art collection. Grajales utilized exquisite examples of Nakashima, Donald Judd, Hans Wegner, T.H. Robsjohn Gibbings to create a refined setting that coexisted with the art collection. The success of the interior is evident as it appeared on the front cover of French Architectural Digest and was included in a special “life and art” issue of Brazilian Casa Vogue.
